How to Use White Sage
If you are cleansing a smaller space, we recommend removing the string and using a smaller portion of the bundle to avoid excessive smoke.
Light the end of the sage using a lighter, candle or match. Allow it to catch a small flame, then gently blow it out so it begins to smoulder and release a steady stream of smoke.
Move the smoke around your space, focusing on corners, doorways and areas that feel heavy or stagnant. A feather can be used to guide the smoke if desired.
When complete, safely extinguish the sage in a heatproof bowl or sand. Opening windows or doors during or after your cleanse helps to refresh the space.
There is no right or wrong way to cleanse, setting a clear, positive intention is the most important part.
